Description:
Stepney City Farm is a vital food growing, animal husbandry and rural crafts facility in the heart of London’s East End. Situated in an area of multiple deprivation, it is well-used and well-loved by the local community.
The Stepney Way border of the farm has a few young fruit trees planted, but the space between is largely unused. The hedge will increase the productivity of this part of the site and encourage its use and maintenance by turning the border into edible hedgerow. The hedge will also complement a natural bee keeping programme that has started on the farm
